Day Four – A free and responsible search for truth and meaning.
Polyamory is a form of ethical non-monogamy. Non-monogamy can easily be seen as a form of freedom. Ethical behavior is responsible.
Truth and meaning… well, those need to be defined by each individual.
To me, truth to myself is what dictates my path of polyamory. I tried to live monogamy, and I failed. Miserably. Time after time. To be fair, succeeding at polyamory isn’t any easier than monogamy, but it is far more difficult to fail at. I find that when I am honest about my needs, my desires, and my abilities, I am far more likely to find a path forward that meets more of my happiness quota than I was at following the path of one and only one.
To me, meaning is centered in the fulfillment of my heart’s potential. I am meant to love. I am meant to give. I am meant to share my passions with those who are willing to receive it.
Polyamory is one of my free and responsible searches for my truth and meaning.
